Leaking oil from muffler/cylinder head connection -
12-29-2008, 08:28 PM
Good evening everyone,
One of my CT70's leaks a bit of oil from the insertion point of the muffler exhaust and the front cylinder head. It of course smokes a little when the oil touches the exhaust when riding. I have retightened the two bolts that connect the exhaust into the cylinder head housing and it reduced the amount of oil leaking out a bunch, probably about 75% or so reduction. I am thinking I need to replace the gasket that fits into the cylinder head. Is there anything else I should be looking for, or doing, while I am working on this? Thanks for your help. |

They fit up inside the exhaust port. Here is a diagram. They are part number 1.
