CAN SOMEONE TELL ME THE BEST WAY TO RESTORE RIMS? SANDBLAST THEM,THEN PAINT THEM WITH HONDA SILVER PAINT& CLEARCOAT?? OR POWDER COAT THEM???? THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.. TOM0762

Tom,
Yes sandblast the rims, primer them and put a good coat of paint on them. Honda Cloud silver is available at most small engine repair lawn mower shops. You can then buff up the hubs with some mothers aluminum polish to make them shine. Install new bolts on the rims for the extra mile of shine and detail. They will look brand new and last another 30 + years of service.

The hubs should be painted cloud silver to match the rim halves if you want it to look as original as possible. The brake panels are polished.

I used to try and resto the rims but now i buy only new ones.I just bought a set today from DRATV and it was 175.00 shipped.Kinda pricey but no bents or rust.
