My new CT70........ - 11-15-2008, 02:08 PM

I just picked this blue one up at a very reasonable price. It's a 4 speed conversion. From what I can tell it's a 72 3spd body with a 72 4 spd engine. It is painted to look like a 71 & has an early muffler & tail light. Even though it's not original someone did a really nice job on it. The bike had been sitting many years but with a carb cleaning & new battery it runs like a champ & all the electrics work:

Here is my 75 'mighty green' I actually ride this one to work now & then as I am only a few miles away.

Must be nice to live so close to work.Reminds me of being able to ride my dirtbike to high school.NO WAY,you could think about doing that today.Back then there was no law around or traffic.Man, things have changed around here.

Aint no way I could ride the 32 miles to work on my CT70 either! It would take me 1.5 hours for the commute... instead of the 40 minutes. But I-80 is noplace for 2 wheeler!
That "Mighty Green" 75 bike is kindof a neat color. The more I see that color the more I like it, plus it's a one year only color too!

The red bike on the right is a 73 Suzuki Gt750 "waterbuffalo". It's a water cooled 3 cylinder 2 stroke:

That's a nicely done restomod. Apparently, a previous owner wanted the best of both models. Nothing wrong with choosing color based on what you like. In terms of resale, probably a wash, or very close; in terms of having the bike you wish Honda made, worth more than any lost resale...owner preference first.

As for the Suzuki triple, the last time I saw one of those was in 1974. Damn, I'm starting to feel really old now

Whats the blue one a '75 500 and the covered one a KZ1000 or LTD ? Had a nice '72 H2 in my youth, which I'd kept it.
