Engine numbers -

My opinion would be to get one in the 13xxxx range. The earlier bikes had closer frame - engine #'s. By the time they got to the late K2's (1971) it was a much bigger spread. 377444 frame, 338369 on the engine of my 71. One of my K1's has 221138 on the frame and 213120 engine. Good luck. Half the fun is the search.

Thanks-I haven't had time to get the engine serial number but I will tonight. The reason I was thinking that I wanted to use the yellow frame is because it's in much better condition than the red one which has a crack/separation above the rear axle.
