Z50 Float Settings -
03-27-2008, 10:01 AM
I have a 1971 Honda Z50 that I just rebuilt the carb on. I have a factory shop manual but it doesn't list a float setting anywhere that I can find. It has been over 30 years since I rebuilt a carb. Can anyone tell me what to set the float level at and refresh my memory on how to do it? I have looked through the online manuals and can find this information for a Honda 70 but not for a 50. I believe the carbs are different.
Thanks! Brian |

Generally the float height is set just below the edge of the bowl. Do a search for float height check and you can see how to check it without taking it out of the bike.
If it is not starving and it is not dripping fuel all over the ground, you should be good. ![]() Ed "Today is a great day outside" 3 CT70's, 3 ST90's (73,74,75), 2005 "Chinese Knockoff" 50 (read 70cc), 64 C200, 72 GT380, 72 MT50, 81 XR100, 84 XR350, 85 ATC350X, 85 ATC250R, 85 Nighthawk CB650, 83 V45, and Misc motorized anything
