Clone 110cc ignition coil issue -

I have a 72 CT70 with 110cc clone engine
It is the kazuma style that has the ignition coil and stator mounted inside the side case This is the second ignition coil I have put in, and after ~500km the ignition coil is open. On the left hand terminal you can see where the wire is broken, this is the second failure and is identical to the first. Has anyone experienced this before? To me the wire guage is larger on the good side than the side that breaks. I was able to solder a bridge in place but I wonder if this is a design problem. Any ideas? Does anyone have a source for a good quality coil / stator for this type of engine? |

The Honda coil will not fit in place on this engine
The bolt pattern spacing is incorrect. I also wonder if it would pickup correctly as the physical size is different Cost is not the issue, I would glady pay whatever I need to for a good quality piece that will fit this engine I am happy with the engine otherwise, just the re-occuring ignition coil issue |
