Help with shocks -
12-22-2008, 05:08 PM
I just recently purchased a 1983 Honda CT70 which to my surprise was in pretty good shape. Anyway, I've started my restoration when I noticed that the pipe was pushed into the right rear shock. The shock is bent and it appears both shocks are pretty much pooched! Question: What shocks do you guys recommend to replace the stock ones. I am about 230lbs. I realize the stock shocks are too soft so I'm looking for an improvement.

I do have a set of heavy duty chrome rear shocks. I can even include a set of bead blasted shock caps as well. The shock caps are not perfect but, are pretty close. Let me know if you're interested. I can take pictures.

Thanks guys. I'm looking to do more of a restomod. I'd like some shocks that perform well and fit the bike. I don't need the shock covers so any ideas anyone has on a good shock setup would be great. Experience with any product from members would be appreciated.
