Looking for the complete seat for a 1969 ct70 seat. Not wanting to pay a premium, but would like something decent. Post here or email me at allenh@dpsk12.org.
Thanks. |

Do you have the old seat? I took the cracked seat pan from my '70 CT70K0 (that the junk yard owner told me was not cracked) and had my mechanic do a MIG weld repair by adding a little piece of extra sheet metal on the top and then grinding the high spots down, and it was fairly strong. Then sandblasted the entire pan, primed it with self etching gray primer and then coated it with some automotive gloss back in a spray can. You can see the weld seams, but when I put a new foam piece along with a good quality cover on, it looks pretty good. I was a little lucky in that the pan was only cracked and not rusted too, I've seen some real rust pile seat pans on eBay that don't look reusable- too long in the leaky old barn.
