Depend on the model. Fitting fixed, conventional, MX-type bars to a K0 is, for all practical considerations a complete front-end transplant. Thus, I won't even go there. 1979-on already had them. For K1-`78, you'll need a pair of bar clamps/risers along with a `79 or later top tree. Stud spacing of folding bar clamps has wider center-to-center spacing incompatible with most one-piece bars. You could drill a second set of holes, in the proper locations, not the slickest solution, visually (if that matters to you). Plug welds & metalfinishing, or finding a creative use for those original holes could remedy the aesthetics, if you're so inclined & able. IMO, better to scan ebay over the winter months for the correct `79 - `94) upper tree.
As for the rest of such a conversion, it's all straight-forward...clamp-on levers, external twist-grip throttle, switches & controls.
