That's not right SteveO!
You should get at least 50 to 75 miles out of a tankful of gas.
You driving it wide open everywhere you ride, or is it leaking fuel!

You may have a leak or be running very rich if this is the case

I could get over 50 miles on a tank with my stock 70cc

With my 150cc Lifan I was able to get 85-90 miles out of a tank

That was cruising at 50mph +

What is your mixture like? You can check your spark plug, is it black?

Also, what does your bike top out at? If the top speed is low due to surging or rough at high rpm I would suspect it is running rich

If these two answers aren't correct you seriously needta recalibrate your speedometer!!!

The sparkplug that came with the bike crapped out on my yesterday and yes it was blackish at the end!

I just got a new one today so I can finally ride my registered CT70!

The bike had been sitting for over 20 years, but after some gas in the tank and air in the tires it runs good!

How can I find out if it's running ritch or not, sure would like to see 50 miles on a tank cause today I went for a test drive to wallmart to return a sparkplug I bought yesterday and (thank god) i ran out of gas 100 ft away from a gas station!

I get about 35mph out of it and that's what I drive on the bigger roads!

10 Miles to a gallon - wow ! I dont think you can run rich enough to use that much fuel . I would really check for a leak . If the bike has set for 20 years - I would definately remove & clean the carb . Not that difficult & will make it run much better . Also check the wheels to be sure their not dragging . Good luck .

Just a couple CT70's **

Cleaned the carb , did all that!

I've been playing with the mixture, only to where my bike has a hard time reaching 30mph

Can anyone point out where it should sit app.?

BTW the calibration of the odometer seems right or at least not that screwed to be missing 40miles

40 to 60 miles is a good estimate. Rider weight and engine RPM's will effect the distance considerably.

I have never heard of a CT that only gets 10 miles to the tank...Has to be a leak...I'm with Mike, no way anything can be that rich.

Besides the fuel lines , gas tank and carburetor there is not much more that could be leaking right?
