79 CT70 Tail Light Help

The brake light on my 79 works well but the tail light does not come on only when Hit the brakes. Could this be a wiring problem or do i need a special bulb?
Any hel is apreciated thanks

Sounds like a bulb issue to me . Bulb # 34906-329-671
