Who sells the best......? - 11-21-2009, 07:03 PM

OK guys and gal,
Who sells the best stock seat cover for a KO model seat?
After looking at the Asian seats and the new CHP seat, I'm just
going to restore my stock seat on the HKO.
Thanks,

Brian

I would use Dennis' shop if possible. If he's happy you know it's good! I have used the sellers gumtwo and sirius on ebay and they are not bad. The last one I got from Frank and I like it.

Hi Brian, I've used CHP covers on 3 seats with their foam and have good luck with them. The only thing is after you glue on the foam to the pan, I lightly feather edge the foam down at the bottom where the rivets go so it doesn't look bunched up at the bottom. If you want I'll post a pic of the seat.

Grant,
Yes I would like to see a couple nice pics of the seat.
And did you use the C101 seat cover from CHP? The one that says:
Seat Cover with Ironed Seams, just like the original. DO NOT BE FOOLED, THIS IS THE ONLY CORRECT COVER OUT THERE, WITH GAP IN THE PLEATS AT THE FRONT AND REAR OF THE TOP SECTION !!!This cover is as close to the original as you can get, absolutely beautiful.. Comes silk-screened with the Honda Logo. We have now added a vapor barrier to the seat cover to prevent moisture from leaking through the cover and saturating your foam and thus causing the foam to deteriorate. You will not be disappointed. If you are doing a full restoration, this is the cover you need *

And looks like this pic?

This cover looks right on compared to my stock HKO seat. I'll have RacerX fix and powdercoat the pan and use this cover for as close a OEM all stock Honda seat as I can make.

I don't know about the vapor barrer??? but thats the one I use, I'll post some pics today, I Tig and hammer weld the cracks up straighten them out strip the old paint and rust off, prime,
and paint them, then your ready for gluing on the foam and about an hour of pulling and tugging lol but its not bad and the one I'll post pics of was one of the worst pans I've done, I was almost broke in half.
