Rubber Tips on Levers or not? - 02-07-2010, 02:29 AM

I know there has been many threads on this topic, I just can't seem to find them at the moment. The levers are for a HK1. Rubber tips or not? It's that simple. Thanks!

All pictures of originals and sales brocheres show the levers with black rubber tips.

Rubber tipped came stock. Be careful ordering them - I bought some from eBay that stated they were for a CT70 however when they were delivered I discovered them to be too large. Also Honda's actual levers do have a bushing for the pivot and aftermarket do not. But the Honda's are more costly too.

Isn't there a $10 set of good Honda's with no tips. I picked up a can of plastic coating you dip your tools into the other day and I was going to try that on a set. If it works, 2 sets will pay for itself. Has anyone else done this?

I was thinking of trying that, let me know how it works out if you do. George, have you tried this?
